A beautiful set of two (2) vintage coffee mugs featuring the classic Famille Rose (fencai) palette, characterized by vibrant pinks, greens, and yellow enamel on a white porcelain body. The hand-painted decoration is rich in Chinese symbolism, including:
Pomegranate: Representing fertility and abundance.
Peony Blossoms: Symbolizing wealth, honor, and prosperity.
These pieces were made for the export market and are clearly marked on the bottom with Chinese characters for "Made in Jingdezhen" (China's famous porcelain city) and "MADE IN CHINA."
