Vintage MCM Phoenix Opalware casserole dish in the Sputnik / Atomic / Zodiac pattern. It measures about 7.9” wide - 9.25” from handle to handle and is 2.75” deep.
In good vintage condition. It is glossy and the pattern is beautifully intact but there is a small chip to one of the handles. The lid also has a chip to the inner rim. In spite of its flaws, the turquoise atomic “snowflake” pattern seems to twinkle on display against the glossy, somewhat translucent opal glass. Phoenix Glass is a UK company so its atomic-era glassware is not often seen in the US. See photos.
