Stunning authentic 1920s flapper-era beaded evening purse in steel-blue glass seed beads with a beautiful draped/swag design, hand-knotted/crocheted in the classic style of the period. Ornate silver-tone metal frame with engraved floral detailing and original kiss-clasp closure (double ball). Short chain handle for wrist carry. Interior is lined in pale gold/peach silk satin with delicate ribbon rosebud trim. Scalloped beaded fringe bottom.
Measures approx. 11 long (including fringe) x 7 wide at the frame. Some minor bead loss and small holes in the lining consistent with age and gentle use (see photos), but overall in very good antique condition still perfectly displayable or usable. No maker marks found, typical of many French and Czechoslovakian imports of the era.
