The Batman (Columbia, 1943). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Not only was this the original screen incarnation of the Batman and Robin characters, but this serial also introduced several of the now-familiar conventions that eventually made their way back into the comic books as well. The Bat Cave was first seen here, as was the tall, thin appearance of Alfred the butler, as portrayed by William Austin.. The card features a wonderful action shot of Lewis Wilson as Batman, Douglas Croft as Robin and J. Carrol Naish as Dr. Daka, A wonderful card from this earliest of the Batmans. Mint! Talking all reasonable offers and bids !! Last one sold for 1000 in fine condition!!!!!!
