Originally published to coincide with the exhibition, "Master of Light: Robby Müller at EYE, Amsterdam," (June 4 - September 4, 2016), this book, which has sold out twice, is now being republished for a third time.

Müller frequently took Polaroids between takes on set, using them as studies of light and composition, or during his walks through cities, in his hotel rooms, or in urban landscapes.

He sought out lines within the typical square Polaroid format and found movement in light through the interplay of reflection and shadow.

A clear connection exists between these Polaroids and the films Müller made. Here, he establishes painterly scenes using the instant medium of Polaroid. These captured moments and compositions reveal Müller's working mind and eye.
