As a contestant on NBC's The Voice, superstars Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine fought for the chance to work with her. Loebe eventually chose Levine, who said of her voice, "I just love listening to you sing... in a genuine way." Equally inspired by soul, folk and southern rock, Blink's 11 new originals are heavy on vibe and light on overdubs-not a single horn, string or synth is on the album. Loebe's award-winning voice, both as a singer and a songwriter, is masterfully supported by the nuanced real-time performances of a close-knit five-piece band.
