Both Kit's Overalls Outfit and Kit's Work Boots, commonly called Kit's Hobo Outfit, were introduced to Kit's Summer Collection in 2001 and retired in 2011. They are associated with the book Kit Saves the Day.

Overalls: Denim overalls. Rolled up cuffs on legs. Functional hip and bib pockets. Patch on bottom right leg from a sugar sack. Velcros at hips and functional overall hooks. American Girl tag.

Shirt: Tan, blue, and white striped long sleeved collared shirt. Nonfunctional buttons on front. Velcros at wrist and down the front. American Girl tag.

Cap: Dark blue pageboy cap.

Boots: Dark brown ankle boots with brown rubber soles. Brown laces.
