The is a collection of used steel horseshoes from a cattle ranch in the Flathead Valley of Montana.
These shoes were in a pile behind the house. The owner was a rancher and horse shoer and now in his 80s he and his wife are moving to live with his children. He loves the idea of sharing some of his work and history of his life with other people who might be able to make something out of them.
Each shoe represents the work and sweat of hard labor, the love of livestock and horses and the freedom of an America we only see now in movies.
